ABOUT

  • We wanted to design and build a place of tranquility with all the wellness facilities you could need combined into one structure set in the glorious Kent countryside. We also wanted to be champions of sustainability. ‘Red’ is built with some incredible new build techniques, making her pretty much carbon neutral, plus we made the effort to find British sources for everything from the insulation to the cladding, the stove to the windows - and more!

  • You will find a sauna, hot tub/cold plunge pool for two, king size bed, small single bed, log burner, gas hob, fridge/freezer, sink, basin, hot shower, odourless dry toilet, crockery, pots/pans and utensils, tea, coffee, salt/pepper, tabasco, oils, wood, bedding, towels, Land & Water body care products, a Bluetooth speaker, USB charging points/adaptors, games, books, art supplies, binoculars, yoga equipment, deck shoes, robes, sauna hats, firepit/grill, badminton set and trolley. Oh, and treats!

  • Less than two hours from London, The Red Cabin is found at Hexden Farm, a 100 acre sheep farm in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is also a Dark Skies area so stargazing is a must. In fact multiple super novae were discovered from an observatory next to the farm.

The nearby towns of Tenderden and Rye (right by the sea) offer an abundance of shops, cafes, amazing eateries and things to do. Bedgebury Pinetum, Bodiam Castle and Bewl Reservoir are also super close.

  • We have prices for peak and off peak times, mid-week stays and weekends. Prices average £185 / night and will be calculated after you have chosen your dates via the ‘Book a Stay’ button. We ask for a two night minimum stay. Sign up to our e-alerts to be notified of any special offers we have - often 20% off for last minute availability.

  • Steve and Tally are the owners of Open Air Business magazine, a magazine for glampsite owners, wedding venues and festival/event organisers. We have three girls, two cats, two chickens, two horses and a snake. Steve is also a metal/rock drummer and Tally runs the art club at the local primary school. You’ll also find The Lowrie family on site - make sure to say hi to Bertie , his wife Margaret and son Andy!
