About

  • Locations

We carefully select each location to offer more than just a place to stay - every site is chosen for its unique blend of natural beauty, expansive skies, and a sense of space that invites fresh air and quiet moments. Whether it’s a hilltop overlooking rewilded landscapes, a tranquil spot near a vineyard, or close to charming towns and rivers, our cabins are nestled in settings that inspire rest and connection without distraction. Each location feels distinct, designed to make you feel like the only guest.

Each cabin is tucked away in a peaceful corner of your host’s land. Directions and access details are shared after booking.

    How private is the cabin?

The cabin is exclusively yours, with its own outdoor space, sauna, and hot tub/plunge pool. The wider site may have visitors during the day, depending on what’s going on, but things quiet down by the evening. Guests often say they feel tucked away and relaxed, even if there’s some gentle life around them.

    Can I park nearby?

Yes. Parking is available on-site. In some cases, there may be a short walk to the cabin - we provide a trolley for your bags.

    What’s in a cabin?

Each cabin is designed for unhurried days and restorative nights. You’ll have your own sauna and two-person hot tub/cold plunge pool, a king-size bed with a deep, hotel-quality mattress, a small single, and an extra bed available on request. The wood burner (with a pizza shelf) takes centre stage, alongside a gas hob, fridge/freezer, and a kitchen equipped for cooking well. There’s tea and coffee ready to brew - in a Moka pot or cafetière - and plenty of logs for the stove, sauna, hot tub, and firepit grill. Soft, breathable bedding, thick towels, and Land & Water body care products bring a quiet sense of luxury. You’ll also find a Bluetooth speaker, USB charging points, books, games, art supplies, binoculars, yoga gear, deck shoes, robes, sauna hats, a firepit with grill, a badminton set, and a handy trolley. And yes - there are treats waiting.

Our cabins feature an incinerator toilet that uses biodegradable liners- simple and discreet, it fits effortlessly into your stay. This eco-friendly system supports our off-grid ethos, ensuring comfort without compromise while respecting the environment.

  • How many does a cabin sleep?

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to three guests as standard - with a king-size bed and a single daybed. A floor mattress can be provided on request for a fourth guest, making it suitable for small families or close friends.

    Can I bring children?

Yes, children are welcome. Families often love the experience of nature, the outdoor spa, and the simplicity of the space. Please note that the hot tub/plunge pool and sauna are unsupervised, so children must be watched at all times. A cot and fireguard are available on request for babies and small children.

    Are dogs allowed?

Some cabins do welcome dogs, depending on the host site. Check the individual listing or ask when booking.

    What’s included in the price?

Your stay includes linens, towels, robes and sauna hats, eco-friendly toiletries, firewood, and full use of the sauna and hot tub/plunge pool. Some sites also offer extras like food hampers, meals and curated experiences that you can add to your booking.

  • How do I book the cabin?

All bookings are managed through The Red Cabin’s website. Just choose your dates, check availability, and book securely online. Choose your location here.

How much does it cost to stay?

Prices vary slightly depending on season, day of the week and location. Our average price per night is £245 per night (inc. VAT). You can check exact pricing and availability on the booking calendar.

Is there a minimum stay or set check in and out days?

We usually require a minimum two-night stay to give you the right amount of time to unwind and make the most of the facilities. Arrivals are welcome any day of the week. Occasionally, when there’s a single night gap between bookings, we offer one-night stays. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when these shorter stays become available.

What is your booking and cancellation policy?

A credit/debit card is required to book and 50% of the total reservation cost will be charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged 14 days before your arrival date. Taxes and fees are included.

If you cancel at least 14 days before your arrival date you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of the arrival date will not be refunded but we’ll always do our best to rebook your dates or transfer your stay to another time, subject to availability. We recommend taking out travel insurance just in case.

    Can I change my booking?

Yes - subject to availability, we’re happy to amend your dates if you give us at least 14 days’ notice. Just email hello@theredcabin.co.uk and we’ll do our best to help.

    What happens in bad weather?

The cabin is cosy and fully usable year-round. We don’t cancel stays for rain, wind, or cold weather - it’s all part of the experience! In exceptional circumstances (like heavy snow or flooding), we’ll contact you directly to make alternative arrangements.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm, and check-out is by 10.30am. This gives us time to clean and reset the cabin between guests. We’ll send you a pre-arrival email with everything you need to know.

Can I have an early check-in or late check-out?

We can’t guarantee it, but feel free to ask - if we don’t have a back-to-back booking, we’ll try to accommodate you.

Who are the people behind The Red Cabin?

The Red Cabin began as a personal vision from Tally Rix, publisher of Open Air Business magazine, where she explores innovative outdoor living and hospitality trends. Drawing on that experience, she teamed up with talented friends and trusted collaborators to bring these ideas to life. From architectural design to craftsmanship and careful interior styling, every step reflects a close-knit team’s passion and expertise.

With invaluable support from friends, investors, and a dedicated crew, the project balances creativity, sustainability, and community spirit. Tally’s husband Steve co-manages the broader operation, while a growing team helps keep everything running smoothly.

Together, they’re building more than cabins - they’re creating places to truly unwind and reconnect with nature.

What makes The Red Cabin special?

Every cabin is a carefully crafted blend of wellness, architecture, and nature. It's a place to slow down, switch off, and soak in your surroundings - with spa-like features and thoughtful design throughout.
